Job Title : Construction Coordinator
Role Summary
The Construction Coordinator provides day-to-day administrative, logistical, and coordination support to project teams to ensure construction projects are executed efficiently, on schedule, and in compliance with company standards.
This role acts as a central point of communication between Project Managers, Site Supervisors, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal departments, supporting project documentation, scheduling, procurement, and reporting activities.
Key Responsibilities
Project Coordination & Support
Support Project Managers and Site Supervisors with day-to-day project coordination activities.
Assist with project setup, documentation, and tracking from award through close-out.
Coordinate internal resources and support teams to meet project milestones.
Track project deliverables, deadlines, and action items.
Scheduling & Logistics
Assist with scheduling of crews, subcontractors, deliveries, and inspections.
Coordinate material deliveries and ensure required documentation is in place.
Track site access requirements, permits, and inspection schedules.
Support short-term look-ahead schedules and daily / weekly planning.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain organized project files, including drawings, RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and change documentation.
Assist with preparation and distribution of meeting minutes, progress reports, and status updates.
Track deficiencies, punch lists, and close-out documentation.
Ensure documentation complies with Triumph standards and client requirements.
Communication & Liaison
Act as a liaison between site teams, office teams, suppliers, and subcontractors.
Communicate schedule updates, delivery changes, and project information clearly and promptly.
Support coordination with estimating, procurement, accounting, and health & safety teams.
Maintain professional communication with clients and consultants as directed.
Financial & Administrative Support
Assist with purchase order processing, subcontract documentation, and invoice tracking.
Support change order tracking and cost documentation.
Assist with timesheet verification and labour tracking where required.
Support project cost control and reporting activities.
Health, Safety & Quality Support
Support compliance with Triumphs Health & Safety and Quality Control procedures.
Assist with documentation related to safety meetings, inspections, and training records.
Support quality documentation, inspections, and project close-out sign-offs.
Qualifications & Experience Required
25 years of experience in construction coordination, project administration, or a related role.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Ability to read and interpret basic construction drawings and project documents.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and construction management software.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
Post-secondary education in Construction Management, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
Experience in building envelope, roofing, cladding, glazing, or prefabrication environments.
Familiarity with RFIs, submittals, change orders, and construction documentation workflows.
Experience working in a multi-project or fast-paced environment.
