Job Summary

Reporting to the Manager, Stores and Inventory Control, the Supervisor, Stores and Inventory Control will be responsible for maintaining high standards of performance by the Stores’ team, and will play an important role in creation & enforcement of policies & procedures as they relate to material handling responsibilities. This is a hands-on role that requires exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to lead by example and motivate fellow team members. Duties & Responsibilities Ensure Company Policies and Regulations are followed by all personnel within Stores ensuring that any changes are communicated and implemented Establish and develop reports and KPIs related to workflow improvement and performance analysis Draft detailed process instructions to describe the various functions related to the Stores department Plan daily workload for each Aircraft Material Handler and hold daily shift briefings to discuss priorities and distribute tasks Make adjustments to daily schedules as required to account for things such as overtime & vacation to ensure uninterrupted operations. Monitor & ensure accuracy across all Stores’ functions such as receiving, shipping, storage, handling, etc. Coordinate cycle counts, inventory audits, monthly financial reporting and other duties Control and secure inventory and tooling Monitor and coordinate with all other bases to ensure inventory related procedures are accomplished as needed Training Aircraft Material Handlers, work with Quality Assurance to maintain and update all Training Manuals and Procedures as required Ensure communication with the Manager regarding daily operational issues and events Work with Quality Assurance and other operation team members / managers to ensure that issues are fully investigated and provide solutions and corrections Actively participate in Porter’s Safety Management System (SMS) including, reporting hazards and incidents encountered in daily operations; understand, comply and promote the Company Safety Policy. Perform other duties as assigned Behavioural Competencies Concern for Safety : Identifying hazardous or potentially hazardous situations and taking appropriate action to maintain a safe environment for self and others. Qualifications A college / university degree in Business Administration or Supply Chain field is required 4 -5 years of Aviation experience is required ( Preferred in Stores and or Logistics) 4 -5 years of leadership experience is an asset Able to effectively plan and manage resources, both people and time Able to work irregular hours Able to lead under pressure Experience with AMOS & RAAS an asset Strong leadership and communication skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel and PowerPoint Ability to resolve conflicts in critical situation Ability to communicate and correspond clearly and precisely in English Must be organized and detail oriented Must have a valid Class G2 or G driver's license with a clean driver’s abstract Must be available to work 12 hour rotating shifts including days, overnights, weekends, and holidays if need be -

  • This is a 24 / 7 operation Must be able to obtain a Transport Canada Airport Restricted Area Pass Dependability (must have a clear attendance record)
