Duties:
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards
- Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
- Ensure that food is prepared in a timely manner and meets food safety standards
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operation of the kitchen
- Assist in menu planning and development
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow proper food handling and sanitation procedures
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate any shortages or discrepancies
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Line Cook in a catering or restaurant setting
- Strong knowledge of food handling techniques and knife skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Knowledge of menu planning and ability to assist in creating new dishes
- Understanding of food safety regulations and procedures
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
