Shared Health (1502-155 Carlton Street, Winnipeg MB, R3C 5R9), and The University of Manitoba, Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences, are inviting applications for a Maternal-Fetal Medicine Specialist (MFM) to fill our labour shortage in Manitoba. The MFM specialist will provide clinical care and academic excellence in high-risk pregnancy care. Expertise in managing both high-risk maternal care as well as fetal care (including fetal health surveillance and prenatal diagnosis) is required, which constitutes 80% of the position.
The successful candidate would also be eligible for appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor and appointed as a geographical full-time member of the Max Rady College of Medicine, Rady Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Manitoba, which constitutes 20% of the position. Job duties are required in English.
Qualifications :
The successful candidate must hold a Doctor of Medicine Degree with specialization as an Obstetrician Gynecologist. The candidate must be eligible for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba. Successful completion of a Fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine in Canada or the equivalent is required. Additional experience in clinical practice would be an asset. Skills for advanced fetal procedures (e.g., Fetal transfusion) are an asset. Advanced training (e.g., MSc or PhD) in epidemiology, research methodology or a program of study to prepare candidates to conduct high-quality medical research is preferred.
Compensation :
