Job Title : Outdoor Forklift Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Outdoor Forklift Operator to join our team in a dynamic manufacturing environment. The primary responsibilities include operating a sit-down outdoor forklift to move pallets, as well as performing general labor tasks on the production line. The role is primarily outdoors, with 80% of the time spent outside, although the forklifts are heated during winter.

Responsibilities

• Operate an outdoor sit-down forklift to maneuver pallets and materials around a large yard.
• Work in tight areas with a large forklift, requiring precise maneuvering.
• Participate in production line activities, including cleaning and general labor tasks.
• Lift materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Assist with loading and unloading truck beds.
• Contribute to general production and assembly tasks as needed.

Work Environment

This position is based in a production facility located outside of Airdrie, Alberta. The environment is dirty and dusty, with a strong emphasis on health and safety due to the fast-paced work environment. Employees are expected to assist with various tasks as needed, fostering a collaborative team spirit. The facility is not accessible by public transit, and work hours are from Monday to Friday, 7 : 00 AM to 3 : 30 PM, with potential overtime during peak seasons. A background check is required for this role
