Job description

The Opportunity

This is the perfect role for a professional who enjoys interacting with multiple internal teams, clients and stakeholders. It is a hands on role that not only ensures the delivery of food products internationally, but also oversees the quality of the shipments, as well as all the standard day-to-day interactions and processes.

Position Description

You will be the main point of logistics and shipments, completing documentation, keeping carrier scorecards, managing customs documentation, handling ocean shipments as well as cross border transport. It’s a team first role and perfect for a person who enjoys a well-paced environment to work in.

Experience

  • 5+ years’ supervisory/managerial experience in an import/export setting, food manufacturing or distribution preferred
  • Direct experience CRM and/or an ERP system, as well as a command of Microsoft Office products
  • Experience working with a diverse Customer base and ensuring effective communication, conflict resolution, and quality auditing

Qualifications

  • Strong command of Customs Paperwork, as well as International Logistics, Ocean Freight and Transborder Trucking
  • Proven ability to lead a team and manage KPIs
  • An organized and focused professional, who is able to ensure business requirements are being delivered, while meeting and exceeding customer demands and expectations
  • An effective communicator, who has both a strong telephone presence and polished written communication and correspondence

Education

University degree or College Diploma considered an asset
