Job Purpose :

The Warehouse Supervisor is accountable and responsible to process and maintain accurate counts of finished manufactured component inventory necessary to carry out assembly activities and to meet parts sales requirements. As well as direct and coordinate the day to day activities of receiving, storage, distribution, systems administration as well as inventory control.

This role is responsible for overseeing manufacturing activities for the implementation of key activities to drive production as well as warehouse efficiencies. In this role you will focus on coaching and engagement to drive improved safety performance and enhance manufacture level accountability.

Responsibilities :

  • Manage a team of employees, including coaching, delegation, performance evaluation and training
  • Implements and administers all policies and procedures
  • Maintain performance metrics and report on a regular basis to senior management
  • Ensure efficiency by managing productivity, shipments and quality of shipped goods
  • Responsible for leading and supporting continuous improvement initiatives
  • Manage the handling, distribution, and storage of all products and materials that are received
  • Manage and track obsolete and slow-moving inventory in partnership with advance planning team
  • Receive, unpack and sort incoming manufactured parts
  • Issue and distribute parts for assembly use
  • Implement and perform cycle counts
  • Resolve and work through requests from assembly team
  • Identify, label and distribute items received
  • Maintain records on inventory control system
  • Work collaboratively as a team and assist other teams when required
  • Other responsibilities and accountabilities as assigned

Job Requirements :

  • Minimum 2-3 years working knowledge in logistics, shipping & receiving or distribution management experience
  • Experience with leading a team of employees
  • Intermediate computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Epicor or SAP experience considered as asset
  • Ability to work within a dynamic fast-paced, work environment
  • Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results
  • Ability to interact and deal effectively with production personal using excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and have excellent time management skills
  • Detail oriented and can be counted on to meet and exceed goals successfully
  • Clearly understand problems and makes sound decisions to resolve discrepancies and errors
