Job description

Role Direct Reporting to : Associate Director, Media and Digital Engagement

Location : Toronto HQ

BACKGROUND & PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The purpose of this role is to manage the data ecosystem in Canada and drive the change of how we use data in the organization. You will have an independent role and the possibility to execute the country data strategy that is a critical enabler for the Marketing strategy in relation to improving both efficacy (audience creation and personalization) and efficiency (Rapid ROI). You will utilize tools to optimize data sources, build analytics models, and run analyses to ensure continuous focus on the delivery of the business KPIs; up-to-date BI solutions across Canadian Business Units.

YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR :

  • Develop advanced analytics and predictive models from design through implementation in the areas of pricing and promotion, marketing, merchandising, and other areas of the business as needed.
  • Participate in the research of analytical methods to find or advance solutions to business problems.
  • Clearly and concisely explain complex analytical findings to non-analytical peers and business leaders.
  • Create analytic datasets in collaboration with relevant teams in data querying, cleaning, transformation, & feature engineering. Define requirements & tests for Data validation / monitoring.
  • Author programming code (SQL, Python, R, Spark) to assemble and analyze data, following / establishing / enhancing organizational standards and coding practices including code management. Lead and participate in peer code reviews for QA / QC / standards compliance.
  • Train / Mentor other team members, provide developmental support where necessary.
  • Follow defined Agile project management processes.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED

  • 2+ years in AI model development and deployment leveraging at least 3 of the following capability areas : NLP, LLM, Prompt engineering, Neural networks, Deep Learning, and / or RAG.
  • Expertise in SQL and Python , as well as a strong command of C, Java, and JavaScript programming languages.
  • Strong command of at least two of the following areas : Amazon Marketing Cloud (cleanroom), Data IKU, XGBoost forecasting model , and App development .
  • EDUCATION

  • Master's in data science + internship in a data science analytics role, CPG experience preferred.
  • Facilitation and capability building skills. Able to contribute to a significant change program.
  • Cross-cultural sensitivity and working capability with an organizational change-agent mind-set.
