Job Title: General Production Worker - Quality Control

Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all granola bars on the production line meet company standards by working off work orders on IPADs to track production. Your duties will include collecting samples for required testing, checking product film seals, monitoring date codes on products, and reporting any issues to quality assurance. You will also be required to monitor all quality tests until a line changeover occurs, at which point you will reset and run the xrays according to the product specifications. Seal checks will involve taking products from the line and ensuring they are properly sealed using a vacuum chamber filled with water to test for leaks. Additionally, you will perform strength checks on packaging and temperature checks of fridge and freezer if assigned to specific buildings.

Shift: Afternoon: 3pm-12am

Pay: $18.97/hour

Responsibilities

• Collect samples for required testing.
• Check product film seals and date codes on products.
• Monitor quality tests and report any issues to quality assurance.
• Monitor quality tests during line changes and reset x-ray equipment accordingly.
• Conduct seal checks by testing products in a vacuum chamber filled with water.
• Perform strength checks on packaging to ensure durability.
• Conduct temperature checks of fridges, freezers, and cold rooms as assigned.

Essential Skills

• Education in Microbiology or Biotechnology.
• High attention to detail and the ability to show initiative.
• Proficiency in English communication.
• Minimum of 6 months experience in quality control or production.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Nice to have GMP experience.
• Previous experience in food and beverage industry.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.97 - $18.97/hr.
