Dock Worker - Forklift Operator

This opportunity is ideal for an experienced and safety-conscious forklift operator who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and handling physically demanding tasks.THE ROLEAs a Forklift Operator, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Safely operating a forklift to move, load, unload, and organize materials within the dock.
• Handling materials and freight while following proper procedures to prevent accidents and product damage.
• Supporting daily dock operations and ensuring materials are handled efficiently.
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Following all company safety procedures and Occupational Health and Safety requirements.
• Wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
• Performing physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and stretching throughout the shift.
• Working outdoors when required and adapting to varying weather conditions.

REQUIREMENTS

• Legally authorized to work in Canada for a minimum of one year.
• Must provide a clear criminal record check, dated within the last three months.
• Valid forklift certification and previous forklift operating experience are required.
• Valid Dangerous Goods (TDG) certificate.
• Valid WHMIS certificate.
• CSA-approved steel-toe safety boots.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Comfortable working in a physically demanding, fast-paced environment.
• Ability and willingness to work evenings and weekends when required.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and proper material-handling procedures.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

• Pay: $19.00 per hour.
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM.
• Hours: Approximately 40 hours per week.
• Assignment Duration: Approximately 3–4 months, with potential for extension.
• A fast-paced work environment with an opportunity to gain additional warehouse and dock experience.
