Our client, a well-established public accounting firm, is seeking a Mid-Senior Accountant to join their growing team. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with a diverse portfolio of privately held businesses, entrepreneurs, and individuals while developing strong technical accounting and tax expertise in a collaborative professional environment.

The successful candidate will have experience in public accounting, strong client service skills, and the ability to manage multiple engagements while delivering high-quality work.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare compilation, review, and other assurance engagement files.
• Prepare year-end financial statements for a variety of clients.
• Complete corporate and personal income tax returns.
• Assist clients with bookkeeping, financial reporting, and accounting matters.
• Perform account reconciliations and financial analysis.
• Research accounting and tax issues and provide recommendations.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through professional communication and service.
• Work closely with partners and managers to meet engagement deadlines and client expectations.
• Review and support the work of junior staff when required.
• Ensure compliance with professional standards and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in public accounting.
• CPA designation or enrollment in the CPA program is considered an asset.
• Strong knowledge of financial statement preparation and tax compliance.
• Experience preparing corporate and personal tax returns.
• Proficiency with accounting and tax software.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
