Job description
Support Walmart pharmacy operations in Sydney, Nova Scotia, using prescription accuracy and patient consultation skills. Help deliver safe, individualized care.
As a Staff Pharmacist, you assist the Pharmacy Manager across pharmacy operations and provide patient care informed by consultations or file reviews. You accept prescriptions, counsel patients, and complete eligible services, including medication reviews and injections. Your work follows established workflows, Walmart best ways, standard operating procedures, and provincial regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Pharmacy Manager with pharmacy operations
- Accept prescriptions and refill requests from authorized sources
- Fill prescriptions accurately, efficiently, and safely
- Counsel patients on sold pharmaceutical products
- Protect privacy and maintain pharmacy operations during posted hours
Requirements:
- Be at least 16 years old
- Hold a Pharmacist License
- Hold Alberta additional prescribing authorization if applicable
- Follow provincial regulatory requirements
- Operate pharmacy registers and computer systems
