Interior Health seeks an experienced Medical Laboratory Assistant for its Medical Laboratory Department in Vernon, British Columbia. The position supports patient care through blood collection, specimen preparation, routine testing, equipment operation, and ECG testing. Clerical duties and laboratory data entry are also included.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take blood and specimen samples from patients
• Prepare blood and other specimens for analysis
• Perform routine laboratory tests and ECG testing
• Distribute specimens to departments and outside laboratories
• Enter data into the Laboratory Information System

Requirements:

• Experienced Medical Laboratory Assistant
• Reliable, flexible, and motivated approach
• Passion for Medical Laboratory Science
• Ability to work rotating days, evenings, and nights
• Availability for permanent part time work
