Amazon Workplace Health Safety Specialist

Amazon’s safety mission needs workplace health and safety expertise, data-driven audits, and incident investigation in Barrhaven, Ontario.

As a Workplace Health and Safety Specialist, you will support Amazon’s goal of becoming Earth’s safest place to work. The position combines safety programs, risk assessments, training, and associate advocacy. You will build relationships across frontline teams and leadership while influencing safer behaviors and operational practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive comprehensive safety programs through data-driven strategies
• Lead daily safety audits and incident investigations
• Conduct risk assessments and implement injury prevention solutions
• Deliver engaging safety training for associates
• Build partnerships that advance safety culture and engagement

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations, specifically 29 CFR 1910
• One year EHS experience, relevant bachelor’s degree, or Amazon safety experience
• Professional experience using Microsoft Word and Excel
• Ability to maintain workplace security and personnel confidentiality
