Shift/Hours: Day shift currently, transitioning to Afternoons/Weekends

• Day Shift: Monday–Thursday, 6: AM–4: PM
• Afternoon Shift: Monday–Thursday, 4: PM–2: AM
• Weekend Shift: Friday–Sunday, 6: AM–6: PM
• hours per week, overtime as required

Job Description/Duties/Certifications/Experiences/Licences

Our client is looking for an experienced Grinder to support their production team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating multi-axis grinding equipment and producing precision parts according to drawings, programs, and customer requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

• Set up and operate multi-axis grinders with or without live tooling
• Modify machine parameters as required by the program
• Operate multiple machines in automated or pre-loaded setups when required
• Review materials, parts, tooling, programs, and measuring instruments before starting jobs
• Perform daily machine inspections and maintain machine cleanliness
• Complete assigned grinding and manufacturing jobs accurately
• Perform first-off setups for inspection
• Verify completed parts meet customer requirements
• Maintain traceability of jobs, materials, and parts
• Complete required production documentation and in-process checks
• Report scrap, leftover materials, and any process or tooling changes
• Ensure measuring instruments are calibrated and functioning properly

Requirements:

• Knowledge of manual and CNC grinding operations
• Knowledge of grinding tooling
• Basic understanding of GD&T
• Ability to read manufacturing drawings
• Experience using calibrated measuring instruments
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Good time management and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively within a team
• Post-secondary education is preferred
• Basic computer skills required

Experience Levels:

• Senior: 5+ years
• Mid-Level: 3+ years
• Junior: 1+ year
• Apprentice: No experience required
