Job description
Use advanced SQL and financial analytics at Loblaw Companies Limited in a hybrid Brampton role requiring four office days weekly. Build trusted insights for Finance stakeholders through reporting, dashboards, and analytical models.
As a Senior Business Data Analyst on the Finance Insights and Technology Engagement team, you will partner with stakeholders and external partners. The work combines requirements gathering, business intelligence, project delivery, and technical communication. Python, Google Cloud Platform, Strategy, Power Platform, and Excel support data-driven solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Translate Finance business intelligence needs into strategic analytical solutions
- Develop reports, dashboards, and models from extensive financial data
- Manage project requirements, scope, risks, progress, and escalations
- Optimize SQL queries for extraction, transformation, and loading
- Present updates to senior leadership during team meetings
Requirements:
- Minimum three years of related experience in a similar role
- University degree or relevant post-secondary education
- Advanced SQL, including joins, window functions, CTEs, and tuning
- Working knowledge of BigQuery, MS SQL Server, and Teradata
- Working experience with Python, SAS, GitLab, or similar tools
