442A Apprentice Electrician Maintenance

Build industrial electrical experience as an Apprentice Electrician at Magna Formet, supporting machinery maintenance in office and manufacturing environments.

Working under a qualified journeyman, you will assist with inspections, repairs, maintenance, and modifications. The position supports process uptime, safety, quality, productivity, and preventative maintenance. You will follow Ministry of Skills and Development regulations and training requirements under your signed contract.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect, maintain, repair, and modify assigned machinery and facilities
• Evaluate downtime root causes and suggest process improvements
• Perform preventative maintenance and identify equipment design weaknesses
• Capture and exchange key information during shift changes
• Maintain clean, orderly work areas and job sites

Requirements:

• Grade 12 high school diploma or equivalent
• Completed Level 2 Electrician Program from a reputable college
• Register as a 442A apprentice after selection
• Ability to work shifts and flexible hours
• Ability to work inside and outside plant locations
