Cabinet Finishing Assistant

Cabinet Expressions seeks a detail-oriented Finishing Assistant for custom cabinetry, wood preparation, and finishing in a full-time shop environment.

This Finishing Assistant supports custom cabinetry and millwork preparation and finishing. You will sand, clean, repair, stain, and seal raw wood components. You will also inspect pieces, operate finishing equipment, maintain the work area, and follow production schedules, safety procedures, and PPE requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sand, prepare, clean, and inspect raw wood components
• Apply stains, sealers, and other wood treatments
• Repair knots, cracks, dents, and other imperfections
• Operate sanders, spray equipment, and finishing tools safely
• Maintain organized, clean, compliant finishing areas

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Woodworking or cabinetry experience is an asset
• Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Ability to stand, lift, and perform repetitive tasks
