Job description
Red Seal-certified machinists can apply precision machining expertise at Fundy Machining and Millwright Services in Truro, Nova Scotia. Work spans shop and customer sites.
As a full-time Senior Machinist, you will use conventional, CNC, and portable machining equipment on challenging projects. The work includes manufacturing precision components, repairing equipment, and solving mechanical problems. You will interpret drawings, measure components, and support safe, quality workmanship. Fundy is part of the Hercules Group of Companies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate lathes, mills, surface grinders, and CNC equipment
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications
- Manufacture, modify, and repair custom components
- Troubleshoot mechanical problems and develop machining solutions
- Support portable machining projects at customer facilities
Requirements:
- Required Red Seal certification in machining
- Proven machinist, CNC operator, or technician experience
- Experience with conventional machining and precision manufacturing
- Ability to work to tight tolerances
- Precision measurement, inspection, and troubleshooting skills
