Senior Internal Audit Manager

Lead risk-focused internal audits for WCB-Alberta in Edmonton or Calgary, applying governance, controls, and analytical skills in a hybrid work environment.

As Senior Management Auditor, you will report to the Chief Internal Auditor within Management Audit Services. You will lead assigned assurance audits and advisory engagements supporting effective governance, sound risk management, and strong internal controls. Your work will help senior management and the Audit Committee make informed decisions while strengthening processes across WCB-Alberta.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and complete risk-focused audit and advisory engagements
• Assess risks, analyze information, and formulate practical recommendations
• Evaluate internal controls and identify process improvement opportunities
• Build relationships across business areas and communicate observations clearly
• Support requests from the Audit Committee and senior management

Requirements:

• University degree or diploma in a related discipline
• Minimum three years of progressive related experience
• Experience leading complex audits and advisory engagements
• Strong governance, risk management, controls, and analytical skills
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills and professional communication abilities
