Dance Instructor North Vancouver

Teach dance in North Vancouver with strong choreography and communication skills across programs for adults, youth, and children. Casual scheduling may include days, evenings, or weekends.

North Vancouver Recreation & Culture seeks Dance Instructors with experience in a chosen dance form and one year teaching experience. You will plan developmentally appropriate classes, prepare music and choreography, and create safe, engaging learning experiences. Instruction may cover ballet, hip hop, jazz, tap, ballroom, contemporary, preschool creative dance, or another proposed form.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan developmentally appropriate dance classes
• Prepare music and choreography for instruction
• Lead warm ups, skill development, and dance routines
• Maintain safe environments for participating students
• Build rapport with students, parents, and staff

Requirements:

• Experience in the chosen dance form
• One year of teaching experience
• In-depth knowledge of dance techniques and forms
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Police Information Check required for employment
