Open Pit Mine Planning Engineer

Open pit mine planning is central to this full-time Engineer role at Gibraltar Mine in Williams Lake, BC. Use analytical skills across operational planning.

Reporting to the Senior Engineer, Mine Planning, the Mine Engineer supports short-, medium-, and long-term plans. The work spans planning, drill and blast, dewatering, dispatch systems, and ore control. You will prepare designs, forecasts, and presentations supporting budgets and operational targets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete and present weekly mine plans
• Present mine sequencing for up to three months
• Prepare annual mine plans and budgets
• Produce rolling 18-month forecast updates
• Review pit and dump designs

Requirements:

• Undergraduate degree in Mine Engineering
• Professional Engineer in BC or registration eligibility
• Four or more years of open pit mining experience
• Strong mine planning and operations background
• Strong analytical and communication skills
