Dining Hall Customer Service Worker

Deliver welcoming dining service at Jackson’s Point Retreat and Conference Centre using customer care, food service, and communication skills.

The Salvation Army seeks a Dining Hall & Food Services Worker for front-of-house service at JPRCC. You will manage guest experiences by explaining menu items, coordinating orders, and supporting meal timing. This casual relief position offers work as needed, with shifts spanning days, afternoons, evenings, and weekends.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet guests and serve food and beverages
• Explain menu items and accommodate dietary needs
• Record requests and communicate with kitchen staff
• Check guest satisfaction and resolve complaints professionally
• Set, clear, and reset tables

Requirements:

• Secondary School completion or equivalent education and experience
• Valid Food Safe Certification
• Up to three months related restaurant or food service experience
• Cash handling, basic math, and POS proficiency
• Successful background checks satisfactory to The Salvation Army
