Thrift Store Customer Service Associate

Serve customers and donors as a part-time Thrift Store Associate with The Salvation Army, sorting donations and supporting retail operations. Work weekdays and/or Saturdays on a varying schedule.

This permanent part-time position supports customers, donation processing, and store presentation. You will complete transactions, handle merchandise, replenish inventory, and maintain safe, organized areas. The role reports directly to the Store Manager and includes routine interactions with volunteers, staff, guests, and vendors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet customers and donors courteously
• Complete cash and debit transactions accurately
• Sort, price, hang, and store donations
• Replenish sales-floor inventory and maintain displays
• Monitor store activity and support security

Requirements:

• Willingness to support The Salvation Army’s mission
• Compliance with OH&S policies and procedures
• Ability to stand and frequently bend, crouch, twist, and reach
• Ability to lift or move 30 pounds
• Willingness to wear gloves with unknown contents
