Support patients and families at Strathmore Hospital through safe Acute Care nursing, holistic assessment, and full-scope practical nursing.

This casual relief Licensed Practical Nurse position serves medical, surgical, and palliative care patients across the full lifespan. You will balance varying acuity levels and priorities within an interprofessional health care team. Nursing services will reflect AHS standards, protocols, legislation, and patient and family priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide safe, quality, patient and family centred care
• Balance varying patient acuity levels and priorities
• Deliver nursing services to diverse populations
• Promote health and maintain patient wellness
• Work to full scope of practical nursing practice

Requirements:

• Complete an accredited practical nurse education program
• Hold or qualify for CLHA registration and practice permit
• Maintain current BCLS-HCP certification
• Demonstrate current nursing experience and computer skills
• Have IV treatment, medication, and fit testing experience
