Director of Nursing Care

Lead nursing care at Chippawa Creek at Bella Care Residence in Niagara Falls, Ontario, using strong leadership and resident-care expertise.

This full-time Director of Care position reports to the Administrator at a 160-bed long-term care facility. The role manages nursing care delivery, establishes departmental goals, and maintains standards within legislative and budgetary requirements. Experience in registered nursing, management, supervision, and long-term care supports success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and supervise Nursing Department activities
• Establish nursing goals, policies, and procedures
• Maintain resident and personnel records, reports, and statistics
• Consult families, residents, officials, resources, and professionals
• Assume facility responsibility when the Administrator is absent

Requirements:

• Registered Nurse qualification required
• College of Nurses of Ontario membership or eligibility
• At least one year of long-term care nursing experience
• At least three years’ managerial or supervisory nursing experience
• Strong leadership, communication, and human relations skills
