Job description
Montreal’s PL/SQL Developer role focuses on database applications, SQL optimization, and Unix/Linux scripting with three onsite days weekly. Design reliable solutions supporting critical business applications.
This experienced developer position combines Oracle PL/SQL and DB2 database work. You will create database objects, optimize queries, build automation scripts, and support production systems. The work includes requirements analysis, technical documentation, testing, deployment, and troubleshooting across business applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and maintain Oracle PL/SQL applications and database objects
- Optimize DB2 queries, procedures, and data processing routines
- Create Unix/Linux scripts for automation and batch processing
- Troubleshoot application and database issues in production
- Prepare technical designs and implementation plans
Requirements:
- Strong PL/SQL skills with procedures, packages, functions, triggers, and views
- Strong DB2 UDB experience in analysis and performance tuning
- Hands-on Unix/Linux and Bash or Korn Shell experience
- Python or Perl scripting experience for automation
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills
