Job description
Help students navigate academic and social/emotional needs at St. Gregory Catholic School, supporting Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 4 learners in Hinton, Alberta.
Evergreen Catholic Schools is hiring a Full Time Temporary Educational Assistant. This assignment supports students with diverse needs while applying strength based and trauma informed practices. Experience with complex needs, Speech/Language Assistance, or child and youth care is an asset.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist students across academic and social/emotional learning needs
- Work with students who have diverse needs
- Apply strength based approaches in student support
- Respond effectively during crisis situations
- Provide physical assistance by lifting or protecting when able
Requirements:
- Educational Assistant Certificate is an asset
- Diploma in child or youth care is an asset
- Speech/Language Assistance experience is an asset
- Early Childhood Education levels are assets
- Mental Health First Aid or equivalent
