Paper Mill Process Engineer

Lead paper manufacturing processes in St. Catharines with machine troubleshooting and safety leadership at Marcal Paper’s integrated mill. Guide crews and improve operations.

This Process Engineer role provides leadership across mill operations and daily machine management. You will supervise hourly operations, communicate with departments, and support budgets and quality requirements. The work includes process optimization, studies, trials, and corrective actions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor health and safety practices across mill operations
• Lead daily machine management and minimize downtime
• Direct hourly operations teams throughout mill operations
• Conduct process studies, research, and equipment trials
• Analyze faults and recommend corrective actions

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Pulp and Paper Engineering
• Equivalent engineering experience may be considered
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Three to five years of related supervisory experience
