Pharmacy Assistant Prescription Filling

Support prescription filling and technical pharmacy operations as a part-time Pharmacy Assistant at Walmart in Maple Ridge, British Columbia. Work under Pharmacist supervision.

This Pharmacy Assistant supports the Pharmacist with prescription processing and administrative duties. The position includes receiving prescriptions, entering patient information, interpreting written prescriptions, and preparing products. It also supports inventory control, clerical organization, over-the-counter operations, and customer service. Prescription accuracy and regulatory requirements remain central to daily work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive prescriptions and assess required patient information
• Enter data, update profiles, and process prescription refills
• Fill, label, measure, and organize prescriptions for checking
• Maintain inventory, orders, shelves, and expired medication controls
• Support housekeeping, clerical filing, and over-the-counter operations

Requirements:

• Minimum age of 16 years
• Ability to follow provincial legal and regulatory conditions
• Ability to perform dosage calculations and recognize drug names
• Ability to complete accuracy, visual, and DIN checks
• Ability to work under Pharmacist supervision
