Job description
Shape automatic transmission designs as a Design Release Engineer supporting an automotive client, with hybrid work requiring one to two office days weekly. Bring strong technical coordination and troubleshooting skills.
This experienced role supports design release across transmission and driveline systems. You will work with CAE, NVH, durability, vehicle dynamics, packaging, manufacturing, suppliers, and other stakeholder teams. Responsibilities include design optimization, validation support, supplier approvals, system specifications, and engineering documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate design release activities for driveline systems
- Develop system and subsystem technical specifications
- Collaborate with CAE, NVH, and manufacturing teams
- Drive supplier design approvals through appropriate assessments
- Maintain DFMEA and DVP documentation for driveline systems
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, automotive, or related engineering
- At least two years of technical or automotive engineering experience
- Experience with transmission, driveline, chassis, or vehicle systems preferred
- Ability to manage projects and drive activities independently
- Willingness and ability to travel unrestricted to the USA
Use transmission systems knowledge, supplier coordination, and engineering documentation experience to support reliable automotive product development.
