Hardware Lifecycle Mechanical Engineer

Apply mechanical engineering expertise to sustaining hardware issues onsite in Calgary, using root cause analysis and hands-on testing.

Hexagon’s Autonomous Solutions division seeks a Hardware Lifecycle Mechanical Engineer for the NovAtel Hardware Engineering team. With a bachelor’s degree and five-plus years’ relevant experience, you will develop solutions across injection molded plastics, machined components, sheet metal, and sealing strategies. The work follows IATF 16949 processes and includes Creo-preferred 3D modeling.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate product lifecycle issues and resolution
• Develop mechanical solutions following IATF 16949 processes
• Create test plans, execute testing, and prepare reports
• Update bills of materials, assembly drawings, and documentation
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis and create Engineering Change Orders

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Five-plus years of relevant work experience
• Experience with DFMA, GD&T, MIL-SPEC, IEC, and ISO
• Strong Creo-preferred 3D modeling skills
• Collaboration across multidisciplinary teams
