Certified Recreation Therapy Assistants bring therapeutic recreation and dementia programming knowledge to Villa Leonardo Gambin in Woodbridge. Support resident connection through meaningful activities and outings.

As a Recreation Therapy Assistant, you will support recreation and leisure programming within Sienna Senior Living’s Villa Leonardo Gambin community. This position requires therapeutic recreation education, long term care experience, and communication skills. You will contribute to resident care plans while respecting physician’s orders, established policies, and individual preferences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide recreation and leisure activities, including resident outings
• Contribute to plans of care meeting assessed resident needs
• Plan activity calendars for assigned resident areas
• Encourage residents to share skills and knowledge
• Identify therapeutic recreation goals and interventions

Requirements:

• Diploma or degree in Recreation, Leisure, or Therapeutic Recreation
• Minimum two years’ experience in long term care
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Knowledge of programming for older adults with dementia
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends
