Full-Time Long-Term Care Personal Support Worker

Support long-term care residents through personal care and daily living assistance as a full-time Personal Support Worker at St. Joseph’s Health Centre Guelph.

Working under regulated health care professionals, the Personal Support Worker provides resident care within assigned duties and classification limitations. The position supports hygiene, nutrition, elimination, mobility, comfort, and socialization. It also requires accurate documentation, communication, and collaboration with the health care team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist residents with personal hygiene and grooming needs
• Provide fluids, nourishment, meal setup, and feeding assistance
• Support toileting, continence products, and drainage bag care
• Assist positioning, mobility, ambulation, and range of motion
• Record care accurately and report resident changes promptly

Requirements:

• Personal Support Worker certificate or diploma meeting Ontario requirements
• Long-term care experience preferred
• Demonstrated written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and prioritization ability
• Ability to accept direction and work independently
