Vancouver Package Handler Ramp

Start early at UPS’s Vancouver gateway handling packages through loading, unloading, sorting, and scanning. The permanent schedule runs Tuesday through Saturday.

This ramp position supports UPS package movement during the Sunrise Ramp schedule, from 0330 to 0830. You will learn package handling methods and load or unload packages into trailers or package cars. Additional duties include shipping, receiving, scanning, sorting, stocking, and assigned tasks. Heavy machinery may be used.

Key Responsibilities:

• Load packages into trailers or package cars
• Unload packages from trailers or package cars
• Scan and sort packages during ramp operations
• Ship, receive, and stock packages as assigned
• Learn UPS package handling methods properly

Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds or 32 kilograms
• Ability to read and memorize postal codes
• Flexible shift availability up to five days weekly
• Ability to obtain a YVR RAIC and DA
• Warehouse experience preferred
