Advanced Teaching Assistant Key Stage One

Support engaging Key Stage One learning with teaching assistance, pupil development monitoring, and positive behaviour support in varied school environments.

This experienced Teaching Assistant role can combine advanced and higher-level duties according to qualifications and skillset. You will initially support a Key Stage One class, contributing across the school when required. Core work includes assisting lessons, supporting individuals and small groups, and helping pupils maximise progress. You will also help maintain an inclusive classroom environment and promote wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support lessons and activities alongside the class teacher
• Deliver individual and small-group pupil support
• Monitor development and provide timely feedback
• Prepare an organised, inclusive classroom environment
• Supervise pupils and promote positive behaviour

Requirements:

• Relevant NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
• Experience working with children in education
• Understanding of child development and learning processes
• Knowledge of safeguarding guidance and requirements
• Behaviour management skills

Develop pupils’ progress through Key Stage One teaching assistance, feedback, classroom preparation, supervision, and wellbeing support.
