Diesel Truck Technician Apprentice

Build diesel truck repair experience with Penske in Toronto, supporting preventive maintenance, minor repairs, and major component work under supervision.

As a Diesel Technician III, you will work as a mechanic’s helper or apprentice at Penske Truck Leasing. The position includes vehicle maintenance, customer service, and training with industry-leading tools and technology. You will support lead technicians and supervisors while developing practical repair skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive maintenance on vehicles as trained
• Repair brakes, fifth wheels, cab components, and accessories
• Complete minor electrical and trailer maintenance repairs
• Use hand tools, power tools, jacks, and hoists
• Maintain work area appearance and safety

Requirements:

• One to two years of vehicle or truck repair preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Current enrollment in an apprentice program required
• Working knowledge of hand tools required
• Class G or 5 license; obtain DZ within six months
