Industrial Control Panel Builder

Build industrial control panels in Staples, Ontario, using electrical schematics, panel layouts, wiring knowledge, and skilled hand tools. This full-time workshop role supports accurate assembly.

As a General Labourer and Panel Builder, you will support construction, maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement. The work includes custom automation, industrial, and greenhouse control panels. You will install components, read wire lists and bills of materials, and help meet deadlines and regulatory inspections. Familiarity with PLCs, VFDs, power distribution, I/O, and networking is encouraged.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install relays, contactors, motors, breakers, wiring, and control circuits
• Read schematics, panel layouts, wire lists, and bills of materials
• Perform quality checks on finished panel products
• Troubleshoot construction issues with project managers and team members
• Maintain documentation, inventory, tools, and organized work areas

Requirements:

• Panel building, wiring, apprenticeship, or shop experience
• Knowledge of wire sizing, insulation, and colour coding
• Skilled use of crimpers, strippers, torque drivers, drills, and taps
• Ability to lift 23 kilograms unassisted
• Valid Ontario Class G driver’s licence and Canadian work authorization
