Contract Game Development Director

Guide a live mobile game toward launch as Kabam’s contract Development Director in Vancouver, using Agile planning and project leadership.

This contract role supports a new project through launch and reports to the Executive Producer. You will coordinate artists, designers, software engineers, QA, and production staff. The focus includes schedules, resources, scope, budgets, quality, and communication across partner teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain planning and execution momentum for a live game
• Guide project teams on daily processes and priorities
• Manage schedules, resource plans, dependencies, and priorities
• Monitor budgets, scope, risks, resources, and schedule changes
• Balance team scope while meeting timeline and quality targets

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or project management certification emphasizing Agile methodologies
• Seven or more years managing entertainment or software projects
• Experience developing mobile games
• Working knowledge of JIRA and resource management tools
• Deep understanding of games as a service business models
