Kettle Camp Fly In Cook
Sodexo is seeking a Kettle Camp First Cook for fly-in, fly-out work, preparing meals and supporting crews in a remote setting.
This remote-site position combines scratch cooking with kitchen supervision and service flexibility. You will prepare lunches, supper, box lunches, dinners, and snacks, including meals for early or late-arriving teams. You will also schedule daily activities, guide staff, maintain inventory records, and order supplies. The schedule follows a 21/7 rotation, with hours varying based on meal service. The position lists Red Seal Certification and pays $24.00 per hour. A strong safety culture, customer service, and communication are important for this camp assignment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cook meals from scratch rather than using frozen preparations
- Prepare crew lunches, supper, dinners, box lunches, and snacks
- Adjust meal service for early or late arrivals
- Schedule and assign daily kitchen work
- Supervise and train kitchen staff and housekeepers
Requirements:
- Red Seal Certification
- Previous experience cooking in camps
- Food safety or food handling certification
- Excellent customer service and strong communication skills
- Readiness to live and work remotely
