Java Platform Security Engineer

Build secure Java platforms in Montreal with Spring Boot expertise and a hybrid schedule requiring three onsite days weekly. Strengthen enterprise reliability.

This Software Engineer position focuses on platform security and modernization for enterprise applications and file transfer platforms. You will develop with Java, Spring Boot, and REST APIs while addressing vulnerabilities, technical debt, and resiliency. The work includes Linux/Unix, DevOps practices, and collaboration with cybersecurity, infrastructure, SRE, and development teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Modernize enterprise applications, APIs, and platform services
• Remediate vulnerabilities and upgrade application dependencies
• Improve availability, fault tolerance, and disaster recovery
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement permanent fixes
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines, testing, and deployment processes

Requirements:

• Hands-on Java and Spring Boot development experience
• REST API development and secure coding knowledge
• Linux/Unix, shell scripting, and networking protocol knowledge
• Relational database experience with PostgreSQL, Oracle, or SQL Server
• Git, CI/CD, automated testing, Docker, and Kubernetes familiarity
