Job description
Support prescription services at Your Independent Grocer through accurate dispensing, patient communication, and organized pharmacy operations. This position serves communities across Canada.
As a Pharmacy Assistant, you will greet patients, confirm prescription information, and enter patient care data. You will support third party adjudication, prescription pickup, inventory control, and general over the counter enquiries. Pharmacist referral is provided when required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and confirm pertinent prescription information
- Enter patient care information accurately
- Complete third party adjudication when necessary
- Dispense prescription medications accurately
- Maintain pharmacy stock through inventory control systems
Requirements:
- Pharmacy Assistant experience is an asset
- Excellent organizational skills and detail orientation
- Strong communication skills with patients and customers
- Demonstrated customer service experience
- Proficient computer and data entry skills
