Job description
Shape Fairgrounds’ Markham pickleball programming through coaching leadership, player development, and exceptional member experiences at the upcoming location.
This full-time Head Pickleball Professional role leads programming alongside the General Manager. You will create clinics, lessons, leagues, events, and onboarding experiences for every skill level. The role also supports coach scheduling, quality standards, invoicing, and continuous education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and refine the pickleball programming calendar
- Provide group, introductory, high-performance, and specialty coaching
- Plan tournaments, leagues, and flagship Fairgrounds events
- Manage coach availability and schedule adjustments through PodPlay
- Review monthly coach invoicing and member feedback
Requirements:
- Passion for coaching, leadership, and community building
- Three to five years coaching private and group programs
- NCCP Level 2 or equivalent pickleball coaching certification
- Demonstrated ability to grow an engaged community
- Scheduling platform experience, such as PodPlay, is an asset
