High Volume Purchasing Buyer

High-volume purchasing demands strong Excel skills and supplier management from an experienced Buyer supporting a large company in British Columbia.

This Buyer manages complex purchasing across more than 300 suppliers and approximately 150,000 SKUs. The position suits professionals from distribution, retail, or wholesale environments. Success requires purchasing systems experience, inventory analysis, and confident supplier communication.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage purchasing across extensive product lists and supplier networks
• Create, review, and track purchase orders
• Adjust suggested orders using inventory data
• Monitor supplier lead times, fill rates, and deliveries
• Resolve claims, shortages, delays, and order discrepancies

Requirements:

• Three to five years of relevant purchasing experience
• Experience managing large SKU counts and complex product lists
• Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables and XLOOKUP
• Purchasing or inventory management systems experience
• Analytical, organized, and detail-oriented purchasing approach
