Part Time Phlebotomy Technician

Support patient care at LifeLabs as a part time Lab Patient Technician performing phlebotomy, ECG tracings, and specimen collection across various shifts.

As a Lab Patient Technician, you will guide patients through collection protocols and prepare specimens for transportation and testing. The role includes phlebotomies, Holter monitor connections, ECG tracings, special test collections, documentation, and data entry. You will also maintain client relationships while protecting patient privacy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet patients and explain specimen collection processes
• Perform phlebotomies and ECG tracings
• Connect and disconnect Holter monitors
• Complete special collections and related documentation
• Prepare specimens for transportation and testing

Requirements:

• Approved Laboratory Assistant program graduate preferred
• Phlebotomy experience considered an asset
• ECG training or experience considered an asset
• Excellent communication and patient service skills
• Minimum typing speed of 40 words per minute
