Combined Laboratory Technologist Lacombe

Apply laboratory expertise in hematology, chemistry, and phlebotomy as a Combined Laboratory Technologist I at Lacombe Hospital & Care Centre.

This working-level position performs diagnostic procedures across Clinical Chemistry, Hematology, Cardiology, and Specimen Procurement. You will collect and analyze biological specimens, conduct ECGs, report results, and support patient care within the CLXT scope. This Lab-only position does not include Diagnostic Imaging.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect specimens through venipuncture and micropuncture
• Perform hematology, chemistry, coagulation, and urinalysis procedures
• Conduct ECGs and report diagnostic results
• Maintain equipment, supplies, and quality control procedures
• Prepare patients and work independently across laboratory disciplines

Requirements:

• Diploma from an accredited Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technology program
• Active or eligible Alberta College registration
• Current phlebotomy experience across ages and patient types
• Recent cardiology experience, including ECGs
• Analytical, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
