Job description
Support Community Recycling Centres as a Waste Management Labourer in Brampton, directing vehicles and assisting residents onsite. Maintain safe, orderly operations.
Peel Region seeks a Labourer for an eight-month, full-time contract at Heart Lake CRC. The role provides front-line support across Community Recycling Centres, Transfer Stations, or Compost Facilities. Key duties include customer service, waste disposal guidance, site cleanliness, equipment handling, and assistance to the Sub-Foreperson during daily operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct vehicles and materials safely at recycling facilities
- Assist residents with waste disposal questions
- Maintain cleanliness and site appearance
- Load and unload truck supplies and equipment
- Perform winter maintenance and landscaping duties
Requirements:
- Grade 12 education or equivalent
- Six months of job-related experience
- Class G licence in good standing
- Operate and maintain manual and power equipment
- Work outdoors in all weather conditions
