Grocery Clerk Inventory Merchandising

Use inventory control and merchandising skills as a Grocery Clerk supporting accurate stock, customer service, and store presentation. The position requires physical work and sustained standing.

This Grocery Clerk position covers the full range of grocery department duties. You will order, receive, and merchandise stock while following inventory procedures. The work also includes customer orders, sales promotion, maintenance, and department shrink processing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Order, receive, and merchandise stock using inventory procedures
• Provide superior customer service meeting customer needs
• Promote featured products to increase store sales
• Maintain clean, presentable back shop and retail floors
• Prepare customer orders and process department shrink

Requirements:

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Above average oral and written communication skills
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds when required
• Ability to stand for long periods
• Ability to bend, lift, reach, and complete physical work
