Building Services Worker Brandon University

Support Brandon University cleanliness through institutional cleaning and groundskeeping expertise in this full-time Physical Plant position. Physical capability and a Class 5 driver’s license are required.

Reporting to the Director of Physical Plant, the Building Service Worker I maintains university facilities and grounds. The regular position includes floor care, carpet care, washroom cleaning, residence bed-making, snow removal, and furniture moving. Work supports overall cleanliness across Brandon University.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean, buff, wax, and auto scrub floors
• Perform carpet care and clean washrooms, walls, and windows
• Remove snow and ice from university areas
• Dispose of garbage and recycling appropriately
• Maintain grounds and move furniture as assigned

Requirements:

• Grade 12 or GED preferred
• Two years institutional cleaning and groundskeeping experience preferred
• Physical ability for bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, and ladder work
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license
• Availability for early mornings, days, evenings, and weekends
