Pharmacy Assistant Prescription Processing

Support prescription processing at Shoppers Drug Mart through accurate data entry, medication preparation, and customer-focused pharmacy service. Work in a locally owned store serving community health and convenience needs.

As a Pharmacy Assistant, you will assist with technical dispensing functions and pharmacy operations. The work includes prescription intake, refill processing, medication selection, billing, documentation, and timely customer service. Clinical inquiries and counseling requests are referred to the pharmacist.

Key Responsibilities:

• Gather prescription information according to pharmacy standards
• Process prescription data entries and refill requests
• Select, count, measure, package, and label medications
• Maintain dispensary cash registers and process payments
• Refer clinical inquiries and counseling requests to pharmacists

Requirements:

• High School Diploma
• Pharmacy Assistant accredited course diploma preferred
• Previous pharmacy experience preferred
• Effective organization and multitasking abilities
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
